Jennifer Belk to Receive Carol A. Kueker Construction Education Visionary Award

 

Jennifer Belk, IIDA, IDEC, LEED AP, educator at Winthrop University, has been selected as the recipient of the 2013 Carol A. Kueker Construction Education Visionary Award. The distinction, bestowed by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Education Foundation, recognizes the honoree as an American educator with a passion for an dedication to construction education. Belk will be celebrated at the NAWIC Annual Meeting and Conference held Aug. 28-31 in Bellevue, Wash.

Foreign-Born US Designers Sought for Vilcek Prizes

The Vilcek Foundation has announced that it is seeking applicants for the 2014 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Design. Applicants for the Vilcek Prizes must be naturalized citizens or permanent residents of the United States working in the fields of product, graphic, digital or social design, and be no more than 35 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2014.
